To All BSL Staff:
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the Board of Directors recognizes that we are all dealing with significant challenges. Understandably, there is a great sense of unease everywhere especially since the Governor has ordered closures again due to the rise in coronavirus cases. In this context, we felt it was important to express our gratitude for your commitment to our organization and the women we serve.
First and foremost, we would like to thank you for what you have done already to weather this crisis and getting BSL prepared to cope with this situation. Your commitment makes all the difference. We know that the impacts of COVID-19 are overwhelming, especially to the residents that all of you work so hard to care for. You have shown up and stayed true to our Mission, and we are forever grateful.
As we all continue to navigate this pandemic, please know that the Board and Executive Director are making decisions for staff and residents with the following principles in mind:
Being informed about the local status of the public health crisis.
Evaluating guidance put forth by health and government officials.
Prioritizing the health and well-being of the staff and residents.
Serving our residents in a responsible way in order to keep them safe.
Implement guidelines and rules based on CDC and San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 infections.
As we monitor and adapt to this pandemic, BSL will continue to update guidelines
