A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported BSL on #GivingTuesdayNow. It was a huge success! We are grateful for your support and for showing that you care about women in our community. To all of our donors - we couldn’t do what we do without YOU!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
The mission of the Big Sister League of San Diego (BSL) is to provide supportive housing for women affected by mental illness. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we pledge to help to break the stigma by raising awareness for those living with mental health conditions.
Will you help us break the stigma? You can make a difference with your donation to help the women whose lives are being transformed by our supportive housing program.
Share Your Story
The "You are Not Alone" campaign features the lived experience of people affected by mental illness to fight stigma, inspire others, and educate the broader public. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is featuring personal stories from real people experiencing mental health conditions. If you'd like to share your story about how COVID-19 has impacted you or a loved one's mental illness, please click the button below.
BSL residents planted a garden this month including tomatoes, corn, green beans, mini sugar pumpkins, collard greens and much more that has started to sprout. We'll keep you posted on the backyard garden harvest!
