Amy Diffley

Amy joined Big Sister League of San Diego in July 2019. She brings more than eight years of insight and experience to her position at BSL. Before coming to BSL, Amy worked in executive leadership with Community Care Management Corp. in Northern California. Amy has worked with many different populations over the years including seniors, individuals living with HIV/AIDS and developmentally and intellectually delayed persons.

Amy enjoys interacting with the residents of both houses and staff and looks forward to advancing BSL's mission while focusing on its core values of providing supportive housing services to our residents. Amy has spearheaded new activities to help residents feel engaged, comfortable, and relevant, including initiating a relationship with Frosted Faces Foundation to bring a senior dog into the home to provide support for the residents.

Since coming to BSL, Amy has restructured and implemented new policies and procedures to ensure consistency of practices to increase residents’ supports in the housing program. Amy has enhanced external relations which has increased the number of agencies BSL now receives referrals. In addition, she has established a relationship with the San Diego Homeless Court Program to become an Authorized Homeless Court Program Provider.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her Belgian Malinoises, hiking and backpacking, traveling, and exploring National Parks.
